Shirdi is so popular it’s driving 1/6th of total tourist visits across Maharashtra with 40,000+ visitor foot fall per day. 22% annual growth in vehicular traffic. Despite of this there are many challenging aspects in regard with revenue rationalization & optimization for local business and devotee satisfaction & quality experience in Shirdi.
For  Mahasamadhi centenary year to make it happening. Fundamentally there is crucial aspects need to be addressed from Local Business network & Destination Management organization, which will be consortium of all Government /non government organization, Trust and commercial institution
This consortium should utilize technologies like BI (Business Intelligence) by implementing DWM (Destination Web Monitoring) to understand the process Flow and to take critical decision.
As age old mass media communications would only help to spread information across. Where as internet based technology helps not only in marketing but provides huge volume of information about the Visitors across the world which eventually creates the technology rich scenario.
By diligent implementation of such BI and DWM, in consortium of private, public & government authorities can curb crimes & local business can be improved, devotee experience can be well addressed.

    Very Rightly said ...Technology and Internet can avoid hassles, can be best used for crowd management, we have seen its effect in Kumbh Mela 2015 in Nasik. Rather all government bodies related to shirdi should involve local engineering graduates from local colleges and device some smart apps, digital media will play a very vital role in genext tourism. However local shop owners, hotel management, travel agents and government employees also need to be trained on soft skills as that will create a huge goodwill gesture within the devotees. Having said this the police department considering the threat perception from various segments of terrorist outfits should also modernize itself with technology, encryption of data and some good data scientist should be deployed by administration..
